Our Shareholders:

Patrice L. Ferguson is a native of San Antonio, Texas. She is a 1973 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she earned an accounting degree; she received her CPA license from the State of Texas in 1975. Patrice earned a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 1989 and was licensed by the State Bar of Texas in 1991. In 1998, she became certified as AICPA Accredited in Business Valuation

After beginning her career in the tax department of Ernst & Ernst, Patrice founded Ferguson Camp Poll in 1977. Today she specializes in performing determinations of economic damages and valuations, characterization and tracing of assets and liabilities, advice to litigants, attorneys, and the Court on matters of breach of contract and fiduciary duties, malpractice, loss of wages, and property settlement issues. She also assists business owners and individuals in developing business plans and accounting procedures.

Patrice is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas Society of CPAs, the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs, the Houston Bar Association, the University of Texas at Austin Accounting Advisory Council, and the A. A. White Society, as well as former Member and Past President of the University of Houston Law Alumni Association Board, former member of the State Bar of Texas Continuing Legal Education Committee and a former Director of the University of Houston Law Foundation. She has been honored as a Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Texas College of Business and was the University of Houston Law Center Alumna of the Year - 2003. Patrice is a frequent speaker for the State Bar of Texas and other seminars. In her spare time, she enjoys baseball, cooking and wine tasting.

John E. Camp is a native Houstonian.  John is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he obtained an accounting degree in 1974; he obtained his CPA license in 1976.  John became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1993 and obtained the AICPA Accredited in Business Valuation certification in 1998.

After beginning his career at Ernst  & Ernst, John joined the firm in 1978, where he serves as Vice President.  John's areas of expertise include audits, business consulting and business valuation.  He assists clients in strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting, and performs valuations of closely-held businesses.  John also assists attorneys in investigative accounting related to pending litigation.

John is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas Society of CPAs, the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs, the Association for Investment Management and Research, the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, and the Construction Financial Management Association.  He has served as an exam writer for the AICPA Accreditation in Business Valuation national uniform examination.  In his spare time, John enjoys traveling, wine tasting, and spending time with his family.

Geoffrey S. Poll is a native of Wisconsin.  Geoff is a 1985 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned undergraduate degrees in accounting and finance.  He obtained his CPA license in 1990, and his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2000, graduating cum laude.  He began his career at Arthur Andersen in the real estate and financial services  section of the tax practice.  Geoff joined the firm in 1987 and became a shareholder in 1997.

Geoff provides tax planning, compliance, and financial consulting services to businesses and  individuals.  He consults in a variety of areas including litigation, compensation, business matters, and taxes.  He also advises clients and attorneys on issues involved in divorce litigation, property settlements, prenuptial and ante nuptial arrangements, and the tracing and characterization of assets and liabilities.  Geoff performs damage evaluations in personal  injury, professional malpractice, breach of contract, securities, and other matters.  He also speaks on divorce and tax-related issues for the State Bar of Texas and other seminars.

Geoff is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), Houston Chapter of Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Houston Bar Association, South Texas Law Review, and Assistant Editor, Corporate Counsel Review. He enjoys spending time with his family, music, cooking, and traveling.

Bryan K. Colquitt is a native Houstonian.  After graduating with a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980, he began his professional career in the oil and gas department of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.  Bryan obtained his CPA license in September 1983 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Bryan worked as a tax specialist for another local CPA firm, served as a controller for a real estate company and contract employee company, and practiced as a sole-practitioner.  Bryan is primarily responsible for the firm's tax practice, including tax planning, compliance and consultation.

Bryan serves on the Board of Directors of the Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.

Our Accountants, Consultants, and Analysts:

Elaine H. Bennett began her career with a local accounting firm in 1979 where she served as a staff accountant and tax preparer for nine years.  She later worked with a local tax attorney where she assisted with IRS matters.  Elaine joined the firm in 1992 and currently prepares income tax returns for estates, trusts, individuals and corporations as well as estate and gift tax and non profit organization returns. 

Elaine enjoys reading and any activity that takes her outdoors.

Gracie L. Murray is a native of Corpus Christi and a 1992 graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, where she was a Murchison Scholar.  A licensed CPA, Gracie began her career at Coopers & Lybrand, where  she worked with both public and nonpublic clients in a variety of industries.  She joined the firm in 1997 and is primarily responsible for attestation engagements and other financial statement services.

Gracie is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts, a provisional member of the Junior League of Houston and on the Board of Directors for the Uptown Girls Breakfast Club.  In her spare time, Gracie enjoys playing tennis, listening to music, and reading.

Linda S. Dudensing is originally from Orange, TX.  She graduated from the University of Houston Downtown  with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (Cum Laude) in 1988 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1990.  She has been employed at the firm since March of 1990.

Linda works on forensic accounting in divorce and estate litigation matters, including tracing of assets and liabilities, document control, and analysis  to assist litigants and attorneys in case preparation and property settlement issues.

She and her husband Carl spend their free time at their country home with their pets.

John K. Flato is a sixth-generation Texan.   He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (1983) and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting (1984).  He obtained his CPA license in 1986.  In 1990, he completed his Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing at the University of Houston.  In 1998, John was accredited by the American Society of Appraisers and obtained the AICPA Accredited in Business Valuation certification.  He has also completed the AICPA's Business Valuation Certificate of Educational Achievement Program.

John joined the firm in 1992 after having worked at Price Waterhouse as an auditor.  He was previously an accountant with United Gas Pipe Line in financial reporting and special projects.  His areas of expertise include business valuations, business consulting, and litigation services.  He has performed over 100 valuations for a wide variety of businesses and for various purposes including tax, litigation, and purchase/sale transactions.

John is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas Society of CPAs, the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs, and the American Society of Appraisers.  He was also chosen to be on the AICPA's Virtual Committee to write exam questions for the Accredited in Business Valuation Exam.  He enjoys being a Boy Scout leader, as well as sailing and an occasional game of golf.

Cynthia P. Nguyen obtained her accounting degree from the University of Texas at Arlington  in 1993, and received her CPA license from the State of Texas in 1996.  She earned her law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2000, and is licensed by the State Bar of Texas.

Cynthia performs forensic accounting in divorce litigation matters, providing analysis to assist litigants and attorneys in case preparation and property settlement issues.  Before joining the firm in 2000, she had been a senior accountant in industry, followed by her work as a law clerk in a Texas state civil court.

Cynthia is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the Houston Bar Association.

Rebecca K. Tucker was born in Amarillo and grew up in West Texas. She began her life in Houston at Shell Oil Company, where she was involved in seismic data processing for almost seven years. Rebecca returned to school at the University of Houston and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1982.  She obtained her CPA license in 1985.

Rebecca joined the firm in 1994 after having worked for other local CPA firms.  She performs research and analysis in the tracing of assets and liabilities, forensic accounting, and assisting litigants and attorneys on matters of breach of contract, fiduciary duties, and property settlement issues.

Rebecca is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas Society of CPAs, and the Houston Chapter of Texas Society of CPAs.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her pets.

Carolyn Cox Williams was born in Austin, Texas and has lived in Houston for more than 30 years.  She began her career in 1977 in the oil, chemical, and environmental industries, where she experienced the full realm of accounting duties, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and detailed job cost/project accounting.

Carolyn joined the firm in 1997.  She performs write-up services, financial statement preparation, and sales and payroll tax filings, with much of the work performed at the clients' facilities using their specific software applications. She is a Certified QuickBooks Professional Advisor.

In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys making handcrafts.  She also enjoys motorcycle riding, archery, and playing with her granddaughters.
